Malta is a small country, both in terms of size and population. It has a total area of 316 km2 (122 sq mi) and the smallest capital city in the European Union, Valletta.

Malta enjoys a Mediterranean climate with hot summers, mainly inland. Winter is relatively mild, while summer experiences more extreme temperatures. There are over 3000 hours of sunshine annually, averaging 12 hours per day in July.

ETIAS is an electronic system that determines whether a traveler can enter or transit the Schengen Zone without a visa. It does this by checking the traveller's information against various databases, including Interpol's database of stolen and lost travel documents and national criminal databases.

The ETIAS will be the new visa waiver that will be required for non-EU travellers to enter the Schengen Area.

ETIAS is designed to help detect people who may pose security or public policy risks before they can enter the Schengen Area.

Malta is one of the most visited tourist destinations in the Mediterranean. Visitors can enjoy Malta's famous blue water, white sand beaches, and history while also having the opportunity to explore 2 other small islands: Gozo and Comino.

Valletta is on a peninsula surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea. This city has a population of over 400,000 and is home to some of Malta's best eateries which serve seafood and typical Maltese dishes like rabbit, tuna & olives, rabbit in red wine sauce, and Gbejniet (lamb stew).

Malta is a great place for scuba diving. The 3 islands each come with different experiences for all levels of divers, including the popular wreck of HMS Maori and Ghar Lapsi reef.

In addition, Malta is also a great place for rock climbing. They have 1,000 routes and the famous Blue Grotto. You can also try bouldering and abseiling for even more challenges if you want to be adventurous during your visit.
